Unlike enclosed automatic litter boxes, the Ease features a spacious open-top design. Cats can enter and exit naturally, without the stress of a confined space. It's gentler on anxious cats, easier for larger breeds, and simpler for your cat to accept from day one.

After each visit, the built-in mechanism sweeps waste into the sealed 9L drawer below automatically, without contact. The odour-blocking design means the drawer can go up to 15 days without emptying, depending on how many cats you have. The anti-tracking mat takes care of any stray litter as your cat steps away.

The companion app gives you visibility into your cat's routine usage alerts, manual cleaning triggers, and weight trend tracking. You don't need it for the box to work, but it's there when you want it.

Its open-top, semi-enclosed design allows easy entry and exit, making it particularly well-suited for kittens, adult cats, and more cautious or sensitive cats.

What type of cat litter does it work with?

The XL is optimised for clumping cat litter bentonite clay or clumping silica are both compatible. Clumping litter allows the mechanism to cleanly separate waste from clean litter with each cycle. Non-clumping litter and crystal litter are not recommended, as they can interfere with the sifting mechanism and reduce performance. We suggest a fill depth of 3–5 cm for best results.

Is the litter box safe if my cat enters during a cleaning cycle?

Yes. The XL is equipped with infrared safety sensors that continuously monitor the interior during the cleaning cycle. If your cat re-enters the globe at any point, the motor pauses immediately and resets. The cycle only resumes once the sensor confirms the unit is empty. This safety pause applies regardless of whether the unit is in automatic or manual mode.

How loud is the cleaning cycle?

The motor operates at under 40dB during the cleaning cycle — roughly equivalent to a quiet library or light rainfall. It is audible in a silent room but not disruptive. The cycle lasts approximately 90 seconds. Most cats learn to ignore it quickly, and many will re-enter the box shortly after the cycle completes.
